What's the Difference

I'm going to be purchasing an HDMI recording device in about a month and I need to know what is the difference between the: HD PVR 2, Elgato, and the Roxio GameCap HD Pro? Why is the Roxio HD only $120? Why is the Hd PVR 2 $160? And what makes the Elgato $170? Which is better and worth my money

More money = better

Elgato is basically ur best bet here, its easy to carry around and if you have a laptop is ur better bet with the software being smaller

The Elgato is the size of an iPhone so it's better in size. It also comes with its own recording software to livestream, do live commentaries, and it records in 720p and 1080p. The Elgato is very easy to hook up, all you need are 3 wires (2 HDMI and 1 power cable). The software lets you go back and record previous things you have done when you forgot to press the record button. So, I prefer the Elgato over any capture card to date.

I was gonna go with the roxio because there is a significant price difference and it can do component and hdmi in 720p and 1080p.....it also comes with editing software, live comentaries, livestream! im not a big haupauge fan because its just huge
